The ad, by BBH London, sees bags from different nations race each other to be first out on the arrivals baggage carousel after a flight. A British bag, owned by a little girl, is pitted against bags from the US, Brazil, South Africa, and Japan in a race to the finish. The ad features a running commentary provided by veteran sports presenter Jim Rosenthal

The spot crabs every woman’s attention with a dreamy walk in closet full of shoes and clothes and showing it off to her girlfriends only to be out done in typical male fashion by the yells of joy by the men who are shown the Heineken Walk In Fridge. Whether you are a man or a woman watching this commercial you have to admit it is a great commercial.

 

The Brazilian team passes the time in an airport by playing a jubilant pickup game in this spot, created for the 1998 World Cup. Features a comical appearance by Eric Cantona (as the passenger on the airplane) and a brilliant ending, with Ronaldo just falling short of glory. That turned out to be prophetic, as Brazil lost to France in the final that year.

 

The film opens on an interior shot of a house focussing on a solitary girl holding a bottle of Coca Cola. As the camera pans through the house, we see the same girl, at minutely different stages of movement. The camera then moves outside, where more characters – again shown in different stages of movement – appear. In each case, the viewer thinks he’s watching a very clever time slice of each character. However, in actual fact, multiple actors play each of the characters.

In 1971 was created by Bill Backer a jingle for Coca Cola that would mark the history of advertising “I’d like to Buy the World a Coke”. After observing a group of passengers at Shannon Airport who laughed and joked with bottles of Coca-Cola in hand, Baker wrote that he wanted to show that Coca Cola was not just a refreshing drink, but something universal that unites the people and keep them company.
